SEXUALITY: Heterosexual SIGNIFICANT OTHER: None APPEARANCE: Daphne was never allowed to have her hair short and that’s why at the age of 18 Daphne has beautiful long brown hair. She was taught that dressing good was saying you were from a good family in both money and stance. Daphne stands up straight showing off her height of five feet with four inches. She’s a bit content with her figure though she wishes she was a bit fuller in some assets like her buttocks and chest area. Throughout the latter years in Hogwarts she learned that most males find those features very attractive in a female. Her eyes are brown and she inherited them from her mother’s side of the family seeing as her father’s side of the family usually has green eyes. Her skin complexion is fair and she’s managed to deal with puberty messes like acne with potions and spells that she learned from some of the girls back in school. PERSONALITY: Daphne used to be a very naïve person, that is until she attended Hogwarts and her mind began absorbing everything she’d never been taught. Even though she’s more knowledgeable now she still has a bit of naivety that she’s working on. She does not speak in slang language and thinks proper English sounds much better and prettier. She was raised to be a girl so Daphne is definitely a girly girl seeing as she likes the color pink and hardly wears pants because dresses and skirts are so much nicer! Her attitude at times is that of someone who is better than another person. She can’t help it, she was taught to be that way and it’s very hard to step out of the mold you were raised in. She dislikes mingling with people she may consider lower than her and doesn’t really like to associate herself with people who have bad history or bad reputation because she doesn’t want to tarnish hers. She’s not a rude person and will never scream or shout because that is very un-lady like. Daphne is an intelligent girl and she has proven by getting Excellent and Outstanding marks in her OWLs and NEWTs. She was one of the few people in her class to get very high marks. This has made Daphne quite happy because she likes to be the few people that actually excel above everyone else. During school she would do her homework right when it was assigned so she could have the rest of the time free for her to do what she pleases. Her dorm area was very organized because messy living environments made you look like a slob and Daphne is not a slob. Not everything is rainbow and sunshine for Daphne seeing as she tends to get angry quite easily. Daphne is the type of person that people have to be careful with when they are joking, because this girl sometimes takes things too serious and gets upset. She doesn’t like to get upset in front of people because she doesn’t like to show weakness to people. She loves being right and when she dislikes someone and they’re right, she’ll agree with her opinion no matter if it’s a sinking ship. Her parents call her stubborn but Daphne says she is right no matter what. HISTORY: Daphne was the first born child in the Greengrass household and even though her father wanted a male heir, he was quickly smitten with his daughter. Her first year of life was filled with spoiling the baby as much as her parents could. Of course that slowed down when Daphne’s sister, Astoria, was born and took half of the spotlight. Daphne was too young to notice the shift of attention so little Astoria did not receive any hard feelings from her older sister. Ever since she was a baby, her mother has always dressed Daphne with the best of everything. Dresses were always a must for the Greengrass girls and messiness was unacceptable in the household. From a very young age, Daphne was taught how to act prim and proper without asking any questions on why it was like that. Her mother, Anastasia Svetlana Petikova-Greengrass, wanted nothing but a bright future for her daughter with a nice and pureblood husband so instead of letting her daughter have a childhood, she began training her on how to be the next best wife. By the time Daphne had turned ten, the little girl already considered other females competition. She never had a close friend because her mother had taught her that friends did not exist in the world because they wanted whatever she had. The closest person she ever considered a friend outside of school was her sister, Astoria. Receiving her owl for Hogwarts was one of the happiest days in Daphne’s life. Not only would she leave the house to see a different world but also she’d be able to take a step into presenting herself as a proper lady into the world and hopefully impressing a suitable bachelor. In Hogwarts she was sorted into Slytherin for her ambition to strive in the world and become a housewife. Going to school opened Daphne’s eyes and enlightened her with the information that her mother been keeping from her. The journey in Hogwarts taught her that a woman had many choices in life and that the way she was brought up was not the only way to exceed in life. It wasn’t until her fourth year that Daphne became interested in medicine. She found it fascinating how people could be saved from death and cured of diseases with the help of herbs, potions and intelligent people as Healers. When sharing her passion to her mother, Anastasia became enraged that her daughter had diverted from the road of becoming a successful housewife. She told Daphne that no man would want to marry a working girl and Daphne was crushed to know her dream was not supported at home. In secrecy, Daphne began studying to become a Healer. She confided in her little sister Astoria and in a few of her friends that she’d made throughout the years in Hogwarts. She knew her mother would be furious, but Daphne was no longer a little girl and her toy. She was now a grown woman with a mission in her life, and that was to become a Healer. If she did not find a husband along the road then marriage was not for her, right? QUESTIONS: {answer at least 5} What is your greatest fear? It would have to be being thirty with no husband and children. It would be horrid for me to end up as a maid and not know the happiness of marriage life. What do you do when you get angry? I tend to go to my room and sit on my bed to try and calm myself down. If I don’t succeed in that, then I usually burst into tears and clench my teeth while holding in the urge to pull my hair out. What do you do when you are happy? I’m always smiling like a silly little girl. Everything is just wonderful and I even feel like skipping at times, but I always manage to resist the temptation. On what occasion do you lie? Yes, but who doesn’t? I must lie in order to keep others from thinking badly of me. They’re all usually little white lies that do not harm anyone, they just benefit me. What is your greatest regret? Never having the courage to ask my mother why certain things needed to be done or why certain ideas were believed. I believe that if I would have been an inquisitive child, my mother wouldn’t have raised me the way she did.
